“I don't know what I would have done if it weren't for the Vice President Market Manager at this bank. I had some serious financial burdens because of medical expenses wracking up. I went to my bank to see if I could get a loan, before I would be in a spot of losing our home in the near future. I was referred to Peggy Singleton who took time to listen to all I had going on. She asked me if she could take notes which I was taken back by. She asked me questions about my current situation and about debts I had wracking up and what my income was. Then she asked me what I hoped to achieve from BB&T after the meeting. I didn't know how to answer that because I was so stressed out over the whole thing, I was embarrassed and scared and at a loss. She was so understanding and she cared. She delivered on all she said she would do. She worked tirelessly and called me outside of bank hours to update me on my approval. She got me out of a hardship that I didn't think I would ever get out from. She saved me from losing my house. What made me give comments when I never give comments is what this woman did after she gave me a loan. She called me to check in and see how things were. She asked how my son was making out with treatments. She sent him a get well card and veryone in the branch signed it for him. I mean this BB&T bank is not just a bank, they have people who work for them who actually care about the customer. Where else can you go and have the Vice President call you just to see how you are doing, let alone send a personal note to your son to uplift him during the most difficult experience of his life? I send people to see Peggy Singleton all the time because she is a great bank manager and loan officer and because she is really a rare find. In this day and age you just don't find people who genuinely care like this woman does.”
