Was feeling a bit adventurous and tried the Duck Duck Goose pizza (without the duck egg) and was pleasantly surprised. The pizza had a hint of sweetness, likely from the duck confit but it was quite tasty. Also tried the S'mores bar for dessert and LOVED it! It was well balanced and paired well with my cocktail. The apple cake was delicious as well and came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The bartenders were friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive (what more could you want?) and the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. Definitely a go-to for a quick bite, drink or even date night. They have bar seating, a separate dining room, and a covered terrace which gives plenty of options for seating. They also have vegetarian and gluten-free options.
I rarely go to Birroteca for one reason or the other glad i went this go around. Chill spot, I ordered the duck the marinade was a little sweet was not expecting that, Brussels sprouts phenomenal, burruta was great and the potatoes that came with the duck was great as well. Drinks were cool and not
Food was great with big portions. Ordered the red mussels for appetizer which was good and much bigger than I expected. For my entree I got the shrimp risotto, also delicious. For drinks the "strawberry bite" and "mai kinda tai". Both were tasty and seems to be strong at first but wore off pretty quickly. I really wanted their senseless violettes drink but they had run out, which was unfortunate for 7-8pm on a Thursday when they were a fair amount of customers. If it's a popular drink I feel like they should make sure they have enough, especially for a busy dinner hour. Atmosphere is laid back. Outdoor seating, lots of parking space (the lot is dirt/rocks though). Affordable pricing. Worth a trip.
The service was a bit slow, even though we sat at the bar. Pizza was good, not great. The handmade fettuccine was very good, as was the pork belly. Crispy Brussels sprouts are the best.
