We saw the menu online and thought we'd give this place a try. We were surprised to find this "Gem" located in the heart of the small downtown Arbutus area. Parking is a little limited but available. NOT wheelchair accessible.
Menu was a combination of breakfast and lunch items.
We had croissant sandwiches and really enjoyed them. I had the SMALLEST cup of my favorite soup, "Cream of Crab," (I get it everywhere it's available). I will say the creaminess was good but lacked flavor. It was served lukewarm. I was really disappointed.
We noticed some other menu items being delivered; we want to go back and try them: (Chicken & Waffles, Crunchy French Toast). It's a really cute little place tucked away in Arbutus that's worth a try. Service is a little limited.
The hours of operation are limited, so please check.
*** We've been back a few times and tried the best Crunchy French Toast ever.
We also have sent a lot of friends and family there, and they all loved the food.
Such a great find. Had breakfast with my parents this morning and we had a lovely time. Beverly was so nice and attentive. Lots of options on the menu. I went with the Chesapeake breakfast bowl. The lump crab was plentiful and the lumps were nicely sized. It was perfection. Can’t wait to come back soon.
Delicious food.
Small, cozy atmosphere.
Reasonable prices.
Friendly staff.
Did I mention delicious food?
Excellent crab/shrimp and grits. And I've always disliked (ok, hated) grits. But these were a totally different experience.
Treat yourself to a wonderful afternoon lunch!
By far the best breakfast I have had in a while. I ordered the waffle combo and got turkey bacon, scrambled eggs, and a delicious Belgian waffle. The scrambled eggs were amazingly textured and tasted fresh. The ambience here is comforting and gives off a "mom's house" vibe.
Such a quaint little cafe in Arbutus. I loved the decor. The waitress was so sweet and nice. I ordered the honey crunch French toast with a side of home fries. It was so delicious 🤤. I also tried the hot apple cider which was really good. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Good eats for the price☺️
