“Loved visiting this park ever since I was young and saw the ownership transition from Baltimore City to County along with the changes that came with it. The scenery here is beautiful throughout the season and the trails are super accessible for most people. The Nature Center (with a restroom), picnic tables, gazebos, and playgrounds are nice additions to the park for a family-friendly outing. The park rangers are super helpful and nice to visitors of the park if you need directions to a trail or just answering general questions. There’s lots to do at the park from hiking, visiting the dog park, photographing wildlife, and fishing on the lake. As far as fishing goes, you can catch bluegill, sunfish, crappie, largemouth bass, bullhead catfish and carp. Fishing here can be good at times and there are different species to catch year round. For being located right on the Baltimore City-County border this park has lots to offer as far as outdoor activities.”

“Fun, free and fabulous views from hills, bridges over waterfalls and rivers. Huge covered picnic shelter for parties or a rain shower. Nature center indoors is great for the kids. Be advised that the walk from the parking lot is scenic but a bit of a hike. Drop your gear and passengers at the bridge first and then park your car !”

“This was my very first visit there for a surprise picnic gathering to celebrate a friend's daughter graduation. I enjoyed some of the landscape, scenic views and the fact that there was a playground for children. I also really appreciate the convenience of a brick and mortar restroom on the grounds. So for me this was a good outing.”

“Nice place to have an outing. Areas are spaced a good distance apart so that groups are not effecting each other. It would be nice if they had a water fountain in the middle and more than one trash can per area”

“Have hiked here a few times and it's always enjoyable. Make sure you are wearing good shoes if it's even rainy as you will have to walk through mud and water coming off the hills. The ruins are nice to walk through to learn about the old Mill town that once was. Was there just yesterday and my dog got to meet horses for the first time. We had not seen them on the trails before, so it was an unexpected surprise. You can also check out the Daniels area of the park to see more of the town and check out the dam from the opposite side.”

“Perfect 3 mile loop & more trails within the park if your feeling adventurous. Perfect for hiking, trail running, & biking. Can’t beat the views along Patapsco river & cool breeze under the bridge. The mystic ruins are like Easter eggs throughout the trail. You get a bit of everything on this nature walk. Best of all it’s completely descreet!”
