“Gwendolyn's cottage is absolutely phenomenal! She does an amazing job of ensuring everything is properly setup for her guests and that they get first class service while staying with her (even when you lock yourself out!). I stayed there for two months, and if you're looking for a cozy get away in a quiet town - stop looking! You found it. I could write pages about how great the manor and Gwen are.”

“Had a wonderful experience as a 61 year old trying to shake off the memory of a bad horse experience at 10 years old. Taught how to groom, saddle, lead, mount, dismount, ride and handle a horse by caring, knowledgeable people. Thank you Renee and Victoria, as well as others, and sweet gentle Rocko. Hope to come back for further lessons!”

“This place has that small town charm that you would find in the middle of nowhere. Such friendly people and and quick service. We had just ate lunch and wished we would've stopped in prior to try a breakfast sandwich which sound amazing, so we will definitely be back to do so. The coffee was great, the prices are what you would expect from a ma and pa place. When you support local, this should be of no surprise. The coffee was great, as was the Latte. My daughter was given a mocha peanutbutter drizzle frappe (coffee free) which was super nice and she truly enjoyed it, we tasted it as well and it was yummy.”

“I've known Don Webb most of my life. I was a camper when Nature Camp was at Happy Hollow, and I attended and later worked there as a young adult. Don and I have kept in touch as I moved on to get my Masters and later PhD in Marine Geology and I currently teach High School. Don mentored me in starting my own Outdoor Program in Austin, TX. I know Don to be perhaps the most kind person and best listener that I have ever met. Don is about the most open minded person you'll ever meet, and yet has a quiet resolve when the time is right. He is the single most valued mentor I have in my life. He is a teacher, a naturalist, but mostly a lover of the peculiar beauty of humanity. I've turned to him for advice time and again in my life, and his words have never failed. But: I think I know Don's secret. It's the alchemy of asking the right questions, often the questions that others don't take the time to even notice, but the obvious and the most pithy ones.”
