I absolutely love my tattoos!! Jason has really done a great job. Will be going back for more. The entire crew is really awesome.
Bobby does all my work and is a great artist.
I can't thank Bobby Sylvestre at Blue Scarab Tattoo in Waldorf, MD enough for my latest tattoo. If anyone knows part of my story, I have two cover-ups, one that needs covered, and one BIG piece on my back that didn't turn out exactly the way I wanted it. So it's understandable to be extremely picky for an artist. But thank God for Bobby. His work is the best and EVERYONE SHOULD GET A TATTOO FROM HIM. Super awesome to talk to as well. Oh and he has been tattooing for 20 years. The experience makes a difference.
I love this place! I have been here twice so far and the artists and receptionist are lovely! The environment was clean and comfortable too. Bobby, who did my tattoo, was so friendly and enthusiastic. I would go back for him specifically. He did an amazing job and is very detailed oriented.
Got a tattoo from Martin here, he was pretty cool. I decided to get a tattoo pretty much as soon as phase 3 was announced during quarantine and tattoo shops were opening again. I think they handled it pretty well. I went in for a consultation, waiting in my car as the new temp waiting room, they called me in, and I was able to break down a pretty detailed tattoo with Martin and then came in for my tattoo about a week later. He showed me the design and it was awesome but I was a bit particular about part of the design and he was willing to change the stencil for me for that one part which was really nice of him. So I sat for about 15+ minutes while he changed that and then he checked in with me again for the design change which looked great. In my experience (I only have 2 other tattoos), Martin was pretty heavy handed, though I'm not sure if it was just the nature of the tattoo as there was a lot of black. In the end the tattoo probably took a little over 2 hours minus Martin's smoke breaks or 2.5 hours with them. The only thing that struck me as weird and made me remove a star is that they charged $160/hour and projected 3 hours for my tattoo... but I payed *before* I got the tattoo. In the end, it didn't take as long as they thought but, if I hadn't mentioned that I wanted to tip him, I don't think they would've mentioned that they basically overcharged me. That was my only red flag. But the tattoo was great, great placement, healed pretty great except a bit weird in some spots but I'm not sure if that was him or me. I want to get a touch up but I moved almost immediately after the tattoo healed so I can't just pop by.
