“Beautiful conservation area. While there was little activity this time of year, the bird views were excellent - ibis, crame, osprey, duck, etc. We had a great time with very little fees.”

“A small and secluded park near Warwick Elementary School in Secretary. The park has a playground, a pavilion with a large grill, and a tennis court. A restroom is provided in the small shed-like building.”

“Came to look at town closely rather than just speed by on US50 . We ate a sandwich at the gazebo and contemplated how the river must have looked 300 years ago.”

“Years ago I read James Michener's book "Chesapeake"and this is now my third visit to Cambridge over the last 18 years. The town remains my favorite Eastern Shore destination. The yachts in the marina and on the hard rouse my nautical spirit spirit every time. There can be few more beautiful places to sail anywhere in the world.”

“It's pretty out there. Just don't go for a few days after a good rain, trail was under water! Overall seemed like it'd be a nice and well marked hiking trail if it had been a little dryer, but that's out of our control lol”

“Incredible place. Breathtaking views of migratory birds, helpful educational displays, and impressive programs like bus tours of the refuge and talks given by experts. The gift shop is well stocked with books, bird watching supplies, and a really awesome collection of enamel pins of different birds you see there. The Bald Eagle festival last year was unforgettable.”

“Lovely garden, even when most of the flowering plants are done for the season. It's right outside the door of the visitors center, which offers restrooms and a gift shop as well as outstanding interpretive displays courtesy of the US Fish & Wildlife Service.”

“Our family liked it. If this were in any other place in the USA it would be a don't miss, but just outside DC, there's an embarrassment of riches of museums. If you're within a 30 drive - make it happen! It was too cold for us to do the walk around, and I speculate that would have made it a 5-star for us.”

“Overall, and looking at how the material presented is designed to portray a very specific story in a specific way, I think it does accomplish its goals. As a historian of the building arts myself, I found that it feels too detached from history and place and time because everything is presented in a sort of postmodern, evocative, very stylized fashion. Quite differently from how anything described would have actually looked or been set. It would be too harsh to say that they've given a Disney-fied version Harriet Tubman's life and work. But considering how it has been so thoroughly processed and repackaged for ease of consumption, the analogy is not inapt.”
