“There are important things to know when shopping at Goodwill of Monocacy Valley. The policy is NO REFUNDS. Period. That is understandable if a consumer simply changes his/her mind. However, on two separate occasions, Goodwill associates inadvertently broke the items I was purchasing. On a third occasion, an associate neglected to put the item into the shopping bag. Each time, I had 100% legitimate cause to ask for my money to be returned to me. Each time, I was told I could "pick out something else" or "receive store credit." That is an absolutely ridiculous policy/procedure under those circumstances. Goodwill is a money making operation that generates A LOT of revenue. If I purchase an item, I expect to walk out of the store with it. I work hard for the money I earn. And STOP asking me if I want to "round up" in order to supplement the handsome compensation at the executive level. On the up side, the front line associates are VERY hardworking and very nice people.”
