“I inherited my father’s wedding band, it was a rather large ring size 13 1/2. I wanted to do something simple to it so I could wear it. I wanted to change it up, but keep it his ring with a little bit of me added. I turned to Smale Jewelers and after a couple discussions with Mike, he came up with a few ideas. I didn’t want to shorten Dad’s ring the size of it is a reminder of who he was, so one thought was a by-pass style and to add a channel set of my birthstone. Mike spent a lot of time with me and created a mold of the channel set and I came back to his office and he put the mold in the band to allow me to get an idea of how it would look. I LOVED it! Mike got me some gorgeous Blue Sapphires to put in the channel. This daddy's little girl, loves having this ring and being able to have a piece of my dad with me.
