This running, biking, dog and people walking trail is in Bel Air along the Maryland and Pennsylvania train route; it can be quite busy during the summer months. It is very scenic and quiet. The trail itself has many inclines, making it challenging but not difficult. There are turn off trails that lead to Harford Mall and Johns Hopkins summer home. Also, if you cross the street, once you go through the green arches, the trail continues and you'll end up at Annie's Playground. Parking is free and all pets are leashed.
I mostly ride my bike on this trail when the GFSP trails are mucky. I can get ~13 miles out and back plus side routes to Best Buy and the mansion. Good variety of terrain and a nice mix of flats and climbing. Partially dirt, so it can get muddy in the rain.
Great place to walk and get away from it all. Definitely will not work well with a normal stroller so make sure you have a jogger.
I walk this trail as much as possible. It has some level walking and also has some raised areas that can be harder. It is good for all ages.
Nice trail, several branching paths to other places. It is paved and easily bikeable. Much more of a walking path then a trail proper, mostly just casually riding through the woods. Nice to take a family to or for a leisurely walk, check it out if you haven't gone. I'm sure you would enjoy a happy stroll.
