Turkish coffee and treats are a exceptionally good! If you are in Old Ellicott City, stop in to try these homemade treats and get a shot of the Turkish Coffee. Deeply herbal and cozy on a cold day.
Looking forward to trying more of the menu! Thank you for your hospitality!
If you're in the area, it's worth the effort to find parking. The hummus is not spicy (add your own at the table) and the olive oil is not overwhelming. The Grape leaves are served hot and are very flavorful. This is my new favorite place to eat in MD! They also have some Syrian-made 🇸🇾 rugs and table runners for sale.
Great vibe! Small spaces = coziness. Wanted to try something different. The food was delicious. Traditional Mediterranean style dishes. Got the ultimate platter. (Forgot to take a picture) I'm not really a coffee drinker, so, if I was going to a place that specializes in coffee I wanted something out of the norm. I was pleasantly surprised. Cardamom is delicious in coffee! I got a latte. Didn't even need to add sugar 😃. Recommend!
Syriana is one of our favorite places and visit it whenever we are on the Main Street of EC…the food portions are huge and the ambience is fantastic. They have some board games to play on the top floor including some items for sale. This time I was disappointed because I found a strand of hair in the tabouleh salad but the rest of the food-chicken shawarma and the pita sampler was good. I don’t know if they still have the live music in the evenings/weekends. Overall a nice place.
Writing this review as I'm barely able to breath because I ate way too much food. It's too delicious. My wife and I loved the atmosphere on the top floor it was quiet and a a bit dark (I loved that it felt secluded). The owner is super nice and really welcoming. Everyone at the restaurant should be proud of it and what they have accomplished, especially with the fact that they hire many refugees.
We will be back soon thank you for having us.
