“I love working at Burtonsville! Most of the students and parents are kind and grateful for the very hard work we do. I appreciate all the parents who have backed me up when I had to reach out to them with an issue. I feel very fortunate to spend every day where I have the privilege to interact with students, parents and colleagues in a meaningful way.”

“Great course. The challenge is the length. Large fairways and large greens. Not overly difficult, but the length of the course still make it a demanding golf course. You won't lose a lot of balls, but you need to execute your iron play and get your drives into places that will allow you to hit a clean shot into the greens. It is a good place to play for all skill levels. The course is also generally in good condition. They have done a lot of the years to help with the drainage issues. The only real complaint is that they could move a little quicker in the pro shop but everyone is typically very nice and pleasant so that is OK. Just don't show up 5-10 minutes before your tee time and expect anyone to hustle you out there. Best course of the MOCO group.”

“This school is a little gem! With a small class and gifted teachers our son has really been able to do well this year. Ms. Mary is a particularly gifted teacher and has gotten my son to actually comment that math is fun! The tuition is very reasonable as well which makes sending our son there an easier decision.”

“very professional school cleaned up act(always good but new incentive to push and seek professionalism, is religious but DOES NOT discriminate or put down one person due to beliefs or values, also I would like to add that as teenagers and students we all have the one teacher and admin that we don't like and will be nit picky with over the smallest things but that doesn't mean they do a bad job, in fact the staff and administration at SAA are the most helpful kind and respectful people i have ever met and worked with. thank you”

“Played a twilight round on a Saturday in June for $30 with a cart. Honestly one of the best deals I have ever found. The course was in great shape from the tees to the greens. The greens were just great, rolling ~10 and really smooth. The course is a bit tricky and difficult. From the tips, it's one of the harder 6800 courses I have seen. Best deal I have found in the DC area and will definitely play here again.”

“My past three years of middle school have been amazing. Yeah, people can go on and on about how the school is lacking this and that, but there's a fair amount of good things about WOMS. The school is organized and clean for the most part. Teachers interact with their students when teaching and most are fair. Some have favorites. English keeps students busy all year, thanks to Ms. Malik (not) but you'll enjoy her. My favorite classes were chorus and science. Science was easy, the teacher was alright. Chorus is fun and taught by a kind-hearted woman named Mrs. West. I really enjoyed gym, although I got lazy towards the end. I had Clifford all year. He's the king of dry jokes. I joined cross country during the fall, and it was one of my favorite parts of middle school. Cross country practice was killer, and there was a variety. Everyone got along. Our school is great at cross country, soccer, and good at basketball. The rest are eh. If you make it to the end of 8th grade then you're going to find that your school trips were pretty great, and the cruise is pretty fun, also. Our school has a great spiritual energy. The good part is that you start figuring out who you are. The bad side? The norm. Rumors, gossip. Some people are really stupid and can't understand common sense, it makes your brain hurt to try to comprehend why they don't understand the simplest things. Oops. Overall, whether you're a quiet brainiac or a sweet socializer, you're going to enjoy it here. (:”

“I was a former student at Cresthaven Elementary, but I loved it. I had so much fun there. Although some of you didn´t have the same experience as me, I enjoyed going to Cresthaven for a year! I highly recommend this school to any student in MCPS.”

“We've been part of the Casa family for five years -- my oldest attended and graduated from K there and my youngest is in his second year there now. This is truly a unique place -- it's a small, family-run establishment that has been there since 1969. It truly feels like childhood in that caring, old-fashioned way. The kids have freedom to explore at their own pace, but they are still developing and being challenged to grow. Both my sons have really blossomed there and we've been extremely happy with our choice. Furthermore, it's a great value compared to many other schools in the area!”

“Sometimes reviews do not fit the profile, or they represent misplaced anger. The first review seems to be the latter. There is a basement, but it is one of several classrooms. Toys and rooms are cleaned regularly, so it is not clear where the animosity comes from. My children have attended since 2010. It is a caring facility, but yes in a private home. My daughter is well prepared for Kindergarten - which is not true of all places (especially where we lived in NC, there was no teaching there). My kids miss "school" when they are at home. It is a testament to the teachers, structure and fun (arts, play, exploration). And the owners have been nothing but supportive to my family.”

“This is a wonderful school if you desire a place for your child to receive individualized education. All of the staff have my child's best interest at heart and teach in a way that connects with him. I have seen a very positive improvement in my son, and know this is the right place for him at this point in his schooling experience.”
