My son was cared for at Robin's Nest from 4 months old to 15 months old. I truly felt like he was cared for everyday and felt a wave of happiness everyday when he smiled reaching out for his teachers at drop off and not wanting to leave at pick up :) Renee and her staff are accommodating, friendly, caring, responsive and professional. Having to navigate through the world of Covid during our time there, I felt safe sending my son back when they were able to reopen as the appropriate procedures were strictly followed. Would highly recommend Robin's Nest, we hope to be back in the future!
We absolutely love Robin's Nest. Renee, the owner is amazing. The house was built with the daycare in mind so it's a great setup. The backyard is perfect with lots of room for the kids to play and a lot of shade. The staff is really hands on and I always knew what was going on with our daughter both from speaking with the staff when I picked her up, to getting updates through the app and lots of pictures on Facebook. It really made me feel comfortable knowing what was going on all day because being away from your kiddos is hard and Robin's Nest made it a lot easier.
I take my goddaughter here. She is a boisterous, spirited 2 year old and she is happy as a clam. She enjoys the outdoor space, gets alot of reading time. She comes home talking about all of her best friends at the daycare. It seems like they have a great group of kids that attend. The facility is very clean and the staff are very attentive to her. The staff have been employed at Robin's Nest for a long time so its great it feels like such a family there. The location is very convenient to my work and I really feel like I would not take her anywhere else!
I am a former Robin’s Nest parent. We put our two boys – a 2 year old & a 3 ½ year old – at Robin’s nest in December 1992. Her facility was convenient (across the street from our local elementary school), and she (very kindly) agreed to open her doors for us at 7:00 AM! We were some of her earliest customers at her new location, and we felt very welcomed and safe. Robin’s family became ours, and she cared for our boys like her own.
I am also a former teacher, and I was not looking for a structured preschool experience. I wanted an environment where the boys felt cared for, safe, loved, and they would learn the people-skills so important to early childhood. When they began kindergarten, the school bus picked up and dropped off at the Nest – giving my husband & I peace of mind & knowledge that the boys were in good hands.
The boys stayed with Robin until August of 1999, when they were ready for other types of after-school activities & I decided to quit working insane hours shortly thereafter. We did the stay-at-home Mom thing somewhat backward in that the boys were in daycare as very young children, and I was at home during their non-school hours through middle & high-school. It worked out really well for us, & Robin & her staff made our crazy lives possible. They accommodated our schedules, served as solid role-models, & became part of our family. The boys thrived in her care, and turned into well-rounded young men. Her own children are also amazing young adults. The results speak loudly, & Robin (and now – Renee) & the staff at the Nest are & continue to be a very positive force.
When we originally looked at Robin's Nest for our 3 month old daughter I was hesitant. I had always intended to get a nanny but was convinced that an outside daycare may be more appropriate for our child. Upon meeting Robin and Renee I was immediately at ease. Their commitment and love for the children at the facility were more than apparent. My daughter has been with Robin since she was three months old and she is now three years old!
The daycare resides on the lower level of Robin's house. I really liked this as I felt like Robin was bringing the children into her home and family. Further, her and Renee provide healthy home cooked food for the children for breakfast, lunch, and snack. Robin's backyard compares to nothing else out there. Mostly shaded, she has tons of playground equipment and open field space for running around. My daughter especially loves the neighbor's horse who often comes for a visit in the warmer weather.
My daughter is always excited to go to Robin's house and she clearly learns a lot while she is there. At a very early age she knew her numbers, colors, and shapes. I fully believe Robin and her staff are responsible for this. I would highly recommend Robin's Nest for any family who is looking at daycare. Your child will be well- cared for and loved, guaranteed!
