My 3rd time attending a show here and I can not praise the venue staff enough. So organized and actually refreshing to see staff genuinely concerned for crowd safety. 10/10 kudos to all the guards keeping an eye on the barricade and the entire crowd. Other venues take notes!
Nice, clean venue for concerts and such. Mostly general admission so you'll have to stand up. But the bar is really close and actually provides water to those not desiring to purchase drinks.
Went to see Mammoth WVH and Myles Kennedy.
...I bought tickets last minute to see Geoff Tate on Sunday Sept 29 to watch him perform Operation Mindcrime ...the whole album. I just received my teenager achievement long over due since the 90s. First things first... Acoustics here were great. The atmosphere and the size of the venue made it very intimate between performer and fans. I ordered a pretzel and a ginger ale and it came to the total of 13 something. The two gentlemen standing next to me that gave me their backstage passes I swear to God thank you...crossed off meeting one of my favorite singers off my list. I parked in the parking ramp which was one block down from the venue. The line to get in..there wasn't a line at 7pm. I just brought my ridge wallet, cellphone, nano bag, and car keys...I didn't want to have an issue entering with a purse. Note to self next time wear sneakers...ankle booties will kick your butt standing/dancing on a hardwood floor through two opening acts and then the headliner. I am in total awe what I witnessed last night .. It was magical and nostalgic.
Also meeting the band... Mama I'm in love with the drummer. His energy matched mine 🤣 🤣 🤣 Sigh.
Was my first time at this venue and it went by smoothly, was pretty organized and staff were helpful. I liked that its on the smaller side and less chaotic in comparison to larger venues. Security guards were super friendly and got us water throughout the show.
I went to Filmore Ave for a concert and had a great time. The venue has both general admission and an upstairs area with seating, which is nice if you want a break from standing. The upstairs also has a bar, though the alcohol selection is somewhat limited. Overall, it’s a pretty spacious place with a good vibe, and we really enjoyed the concert experience.
