“Beautiful location, away from the traffic noise. Not too many people around either. Great place to get away from it all and meditate (if you like!). There are birds to watch as well other kinds of wild life to be seen. It is on the Maydale trail, so it is good place for a quiet walk.”

“Pretty decent dog park. Not so good for playing fetch. It is basically on a slope. The only flat area is concrete. Also the door to the park is in an impractical place for getting there by vehicle. A lot of very nice dogs here though. My dogs always enjoy their company.”

“It's a decent dog park. There isn't much there for the dogs to do other than run around. Other parks have hills, hoops, and platforms for the dogs to play with. Its nice that they have a Porta potty next to the park if you need to go. They also have water for the dogs. I'll come back if I'm in the area.”

“Brookside Gardens is an absolute gem of a botanical paradise. From the moment I stepped foot into this lush oasis, I was captivated by its beauty. The meticulously manicured gardens, brimming with a breathtaking variety of flowers and plants, left me in awe. The garden's design is a testament to thoughtful planning, with themed areas that transport you to different horticultural worlds. Whether you're wandering through the tranquil Japanese Garden, admiring the vibrant colors of the Rose Garden, or exploring the fragrant Butterfly Garden, each section offers a unique and enchanting experience. One of the highlights of my visit was the conservatory, a tropical haven filled with exotic plants and a stunning collection of orchids. It's the perfect escape on a chilly day or a rainy afternoon. But Brookside Gardens isn't just about flora; it's also a hub for learning and appreciation of nature. The visitor center provides valuable insights into gardening and conservation, making it an educational experience for all ages. The attention to detail in maintaining this botanical wonderland is commendable. The staff's passion and dedication are evident in the gardens' impeccable upkeep. Whether you're a nature enthusiast, a photographer seeking a picturesque backdrop, or simply someone looking for a serene and peaceful retreat, Brookside Gardens is a must-visit destination. It's a place that invites you to connect with the beauty of the natural world and leave the hustle and bustle of everyday life behind. I can't recommend it highly enough.”

“It's really beautiful and nice to walk around. I saw a Biker when I went but I feel the ground is a tad bit too root filled and rocky for that in my taste, but each their own. A very nice wqy to spend an afternoon. There is also a rock on the last stretch that has a wonderful view on top of it”

“A fantastic local park that boasts 4 standard swings, 3 "baby swings", 1 special needs swing, a tire swing, 7 slides, 5 unlit tennis courts, basketball courts, a field, a play house, impressive play structures, and a legitimate merry-go-round. I thought merry-go-rounds of this nature were outlawed in the 90s due to safety concerns. I understand the safety concerns. When I got the merry-go-round going FAST, my son (3yrs) fell off twice - once on his face, once on his back... he was fine. This is a great park, but supervised play is highly recommended.”

“Cute pocket park in the Peachwood neighborhood. Very clean. Great variety - tennis, basketball and some other court (handball, maybe?) Equipment looked like it would be good for ages 2 - 8. For older stuff you'll have to head over to one of the regional parks. Otherwise fantastic.”

“This park is great to relax and take the edge off after a long week of work. There is a calm and soothing stream , which is home to a wide variety of species, from crawfish to little frogs. Don’t expect to catch bass or cods there. There are plenty of space for picnic and to bbq your own food. There is a basketball court and playground. I actually like it more during fall right before they close for winter, its empty and you can meditate in harmony with nature. Parking is relatively enough , lots of public bathrooms aka johns .”

“This is a great playground with lots of different “levels” of play. I have a 2yo and 4yo and they both had different play areas suited to their age. The whole area is fenced in which is so nice and makes is easier to let them both go separate ways without me having to worry too much. There was a bit of trash littering the grounds and the building next to the playgrounds was closed off with caution tape but overall in good shape.”
