Dr. Gillem was willing to listen and provide sound advice about new treatments. Dana and Kate, who are the vet techs took an interest in my girl and I always felt as I was leaving her in the hands of people that cared about Pi as an individual. I cannot say enough about them. Sadly, Pi's cancer was a terminal form but I am convinced that I would have lost her so much earlier without the help of Dr. Gillem and her team. If you have a pet with cancer, her office is a wonderful place to land. They are compassionate, caring, and knowledgeable. Dr. Gillem is clear with what you can expect and helpful when trying to decide what course of action you should take. I was always clear on the risks and the potential benefits of what I was considering.”

“I was in town visiting family and my dog Lenny Kravitz was bit by a cat. He had a large swollen abscess, a fever, etc. i was very worried. I called 7 vet clinics and Life Companions was the only office to fit him in their fully booked schedule. Dr. Kinney and her staff were WONDERFUL-friendly, caring, knowledgeable and helpful!! So thankful for all they did to help my dog, as well as make me feel better about the situation. I HIGHLY recommend this practice to anyone who wants loving, attentive care for their pets!!”

“I showed up upset and hardly able to think with dog who was dying and miserable. I was met at the door by a vet tech/receptionist who took us straight to a room. Both the vet tech and the veterinarian who saw my dog were WONDERFUL with my dog and with me. I was able to stay with my dog while she was euthanized and was treated with compassion. I was actually shocked at my total cost. Much less expensive than my regular local vet. I ended up here after a HORRIBLE experience at WeCare emergency vet in Waldorf. I will drive straight to Dogs and Cats Emergency if any of my pets ever require emergency care. Thank you to the staff who was working very early morning on Sunday 24 July 2022. Your compassion means a lot to me.”
