Wonderful experience buying shoes and tights for my daughter’s pre-ballet class. Tights and shoes were perfectly matched to her skin tone. So glad we stopped by.

This store is amazing! My daughter had a dancewear emergency, and the awesome woman working at this store saved the day for her. My daughter had a shoe crisis, and needed a pair of shoes for an audition the next morning. This was discovered at 7pm, and no stores near us were still open. It was going to be close if we could get there before they closed at 8pm, so I called the store. The woman who was closing on 2/9/2023, Shameka, assured me she would not close until we got there without me even asking for that. When we arrived right at 8pm, she unlocked the door and had what we needed in her hand waiting for us. We paid and I was on my way home with a happy and relived daughter in a matter of minutes. This is not the closest store to me, but I'll be going back there in the future because getting that kind of service is a rarity. Thank you!!!

This is a great store!! A very nice, clean, and organized store. The women who owns it and I believe it’s her daughter are fabulous! Very, very nice people. Also very helpful and personable! My first choice!

I cannot say enough good things about Washington Dancewear in Capitol Heights. The staff are kind, patient, and knowledgeable. I'm a classically trained dancer myself who taught for eight years, so I can tell you authoritatively that these people know their stuff. My sister and I took my niece for a pointe shoe fitting last night, and we were thrilled with all of the colors that they had available to match skin tones, as well as a wide variety of pointe paints. When the shoe that fit my niece wasn't in stock in the right color, they offered to order and ship at a very reasonable price. We drove an hour and a half to shop at Washington and we will do it again next time.

I took my daughter for a fitting and everyone was extremely welcoming. We had the pleasure of working with Kiara who was so incredibly patient and knowledgeable. We have done fittings from Boston to Virginia Beach and I highly recommend Washington Dancewear. We drove from Southeastern Virginia and it was definitely worth it
