“The lighthouse and surrounded area is currently under construction. The water view is beautiful, and the area where the lighthouse is located was very windy and cold, colder than the St Mary's City area. There is a dog beach - I saw the sign but didn't stop by. It's a nice State Park with beach, dog beach, fishing pier, camping area and hiking trails.”

“I have hiked the 3.9 mile loop 2 times so far. Great views. Paths are easy to follow. There are a couple of places they need to clear the path a bit but you can move forward.”

“Really loved this place. I highly recommend walking the trail from the visitor center to the college. Very cool to see the amount of history southern Maryland has. Found this to be eye opening. They have a staff that dresses up and will show you around the grounds. Super interesting”

“I visited today, 12/22/18, and the visitors center was shopped to be open, last day, but it was closed. Good thing it was for the employees and volunteers because there weren't many people there. This park is dog friendly and the trails are paved. We walked 2 miles in the North end of the Visitors Center, and turned around after reaching the college area. This park is very well kept, and the water view is beautiful. The Maryland Dove wasn't there, or I didn't see it. Not sure if it was moved. The trail to the Maryland Dove was closed. None of the buildings was open, therefore, we didn't see much other than the architecture and village layout. The walk through the park was relaxing and quiet. I recommend visiting when the buildings are open for you to learn about the village. Otherwise, it is just an outdoor park. I might visit again during a different season when everything is open.”
