“About one year after having our whole house generator installed we began having an issue with the generator surging at idle. I contacted Brandon about this and he promised to look into this issue and would get back with me. When Brandon called the following day he stated that there was a bulletin from the manufacturer that acknowledged this issue and it was not a concern. I spoke with Brandon about this because although the manufacturer did not see this as a concern, I was bothered that my generator had worked just fine for a whole year and then came up with this issue and if it surged at idle , what might happen under full load. Brandon came out and adjusted the carburetor and had it working fine but stated there was still something not right because he should not have to make adjustments like that and promised to go back and do further research and make an appointment to come troubleshoot further because he was not happy with the manufacturers answer. The following week he sent out his technician with a plan and parts to troubleshoot and fix our generator. The technician completed a full service, oil change, battery check, plugs, filter, etc... which did not fix the issue and then changed the carburetor assembly which fixed our generator at NO COST to us. It has been about 4 months and everything is working as advertised ! We originally got the generator for the feeling of security and knowing that Powertech will always be there if needed is an extra layer of security ! Brandon went above and beyond what the manufacturer suggested because he knew there was something wrong and did not quit until our generator was fixed and running normal. We will be sure to maintain our service contract with Powertech !!!”
