“This is quaint museum, it is nice and has artifacts from the Civil War Era. To get to the Museum you have to enter the State Park, there is a $3 charge per vehicle. The Museum is by the camping area so you have to stop by the Campground Registration office and get a pass, but they do not charge for the pass, then drop it off in the box before you leave.”

Address: 44720 Lighthouse Rd, Piney Point, MD 20674, USA
“We have been there several times and had the privilege of a Dosent to tell us all the tidbits and tails of times prier. Each time we visit we learn something new. So steeped in historical treasures, charming lighthouse keepers, Coast Guard guarding our shore line that you are transported back in time imagining what it must have been like. There is a museum and long dock to explore. We have yet to pic-nick on the shore line so that is on the to do list. Old Charm, Great Stories, Make Memories with Family...a perfect place to start.”

“Really loved this place. I highly recommend walking the trail from the visitor center to the college. Very cool to see the amount of history southern Maryland has. Found this to be eye opening. They have a staff that dresses up and will show you around the grounds. Super interesting”

“Very nice place to visit. The trip to the Island was nice. Watching the Blessing of the Fleet was great. The fire works were wonderful to watch, and they lasted a long time. Everyone was very pleasant to talk to. The bands were great too. Loved dancing to the music. We stayed to the very end. Just a great day.”

The tour guide, Hal, provided a lot of interesting facts as well as showing items on display. The witch, Moll Dyers, rock is right outside of the jail, as well as a cannon.”
