HI. I wanted to reach out to you and let you know of a situation that happened to me, my mom and my two young children on 2/19. We were driving from Joppa MD to Ocean City MD for a hockey tournament that my son was participating in. On route 90, only a couple miles from coastal highway, my truck got a flat. A good Samaritan stopped and attempted to help but couldn't get my tire off since it was rusted on. A local officer stopped and tried to help but had no luck either. Trooper First Class Gallagher stopped and stayed with us while we attempted to figure out a solution to get the tire off. He could have left since i had called my insurance company and road side assistance was on its way. But he stuck around, brought out his jack and put it under my truck so that it had more stability, and got my tire off with his axe. He went above and beyond to help me and my family so that we could get to the tournament on time. My son's team ended up winning their championship game. He deserves special recognition for helping us when he really didn't have to. I thought you should know that amazing cops/troopers are out there and First Class Gallagher is one of them
I was unknowingly speeding across the bridge on Rt 90 Eastbound into Ocean City from Ocean Pines on January 2nd. I was very impressed with the trooper's professionalism. I thought it was very neat that I received my speeding ticket on a printed form as up here in Pennsylvania we only have handwritten carbon copy speeding tickets. It was an overall good experience. I'm glad he stopped us. Driving too fast could have hurt someone.
