I chose Hometown Plumbing to replace the blue poly pipe that was causing problems at my home in Middle River in 2016. They were reasonably priced (about 20% less than another bid) and performed the work when it was scheduled to be completed. The 5 star review is for what they were able to help me with 2 years after the work was complete. Water was accumulating on the property where some of the work was originally completed and my Homeowner's association was threatening litigation if I didn't have it fixed. I contacted Hometown to see if they could check it out for me. They took the time to inspect the problem and instructed me to contact the city as the work that Hometown Plumbing did was not the problem; the water was actually originating from the neighbors property.”

“This place may look like a weird barn, but it’s a great meandering emporium chock full of quality antiques. It has several vendors who have everything from butter churners to Norman Rockwell plates to tiny bottles to polished wood furniture. Personally, I found the prices higher than desirable for many items, but you can find a lot of things from $5/15 as well. This is a great place for buying porcelain china, especially cups and saucers of a wide variety. And they have a couple of truly excellent items, like a Royal Copenhagen creamer, an authentic squash blossom necklace, and several interesting shelves/tables/dressers. Plenty of fascinating and well-labeled antique crystal, silver, and other fancy goods in addition to whacky old toys, mason jars, chairs, flannel shirts, and who knows what else. It’s definitely worth the visit.”

Some prices were lowish, but they were pushy and lacked knowledge of Bowie houses and specifics of what flooring was best on a concrete slab, etc. Carousel was not pushy, answered every question, knew exactly what we needed to know and even accommodated our schedule. They gave us all the heads up information we needed. The installation of a whole level of flooring was done very professionally in a day and a half. We reached out to several companies, including a roofing company, a kitchen remodeling company, a painter, a plumber, and a flooring company. It was very overwhelming. Many did not return our calls or did not provide estimates or was unable to perform the full scope of project. MEM was literally a one stop shop. I had one point of contact and one company handle the entire remodel. MEM made the experience easy. We opened a wall in our kitchen and installed all new cabinets, counters, appliances, etc. We painted the main living area and two story foyer to match and had new wood flooring installed. We also had a new roof installed and updated the old windows and doors to new energy star models. MEM was terrific through the whole process and they were able to complete all the desired work.
