Great little state park tucked away along the estuary of the taunton river. Has a nice picnic area and clean public bathroom! The trails are clearly marked and well maintained and there is a museum on site which contains "dighton rock". It was closed when we were there unfortunately. Parking here is free and its definitely worth the drive if you're looking for a fun walk in the woods.
Nice place to walk. Check for ticks in the summer. View of the water. You have to make an appointment to see the rock itself.
Beautiful scenery by the water with picnic tables, restrooms, and hiking paths. Dog friendly which is awesome. Dighton rock is a good place to get away, lay down a towel and read a book or just walk and play with your dog.

All that being said, Dighton Rock State Park would be a lot of fun for families with young kids. Dighton Rock's very flat trails lend themselves to singlespeed or Dighton Rock has a nice picnic area, and a good view of the Taunton River. It is close to Route 24 and it's a pleasant place to visit and to relax in.
