Caratunk Wildlife Refuge - Audubon Society of RI

I have been going here since my teens , although I haven't been in many years , I'm sure it's just as beautiful and serene as my last time there ! I'm due for a good hike , think I will pay a visit soon .

On a recent sunny Sunday afternoon I decided to tape the Patriots game and drive over to the Caratunk Wildlife Refuge on a beautiful early November day and it was one of the nicest days I have spent this fall. The trails were all well maintained and the fall colors were spectacular. I went in the early afternoon before most of the wildlife comes out, but the fall colors were breath taking. If you are looking for an area with a variety of trail types from flat to slight hills this is your area.

If you haven't been hiking here in awhile, you will be pleased with the new trail signs and cleaned up walkways. The beautiful Stone wall alongside the fields has been exposed as well after being overgrown by Vines and trees for years.

Nice place but didn't see any wildlife besides birds

Needed something vto do w my kids found vthis place by accident. Gave lived in Pawtucket for 30 years and this was news to me. Super fun and close simple trails w choices and nice views kids had a blast
