This was a great spot for a hike with some great higher difficulty trails. Popular spot for rock climbers and boulderers. I knocked off a star because the trails could use much better marking and some managing overgrowth. I lost my trail at least four times and ended up bushwhacking some. Additionally there does not seem to be any sort of map. Thanks to GPS, Google maps, and recognizable rock features I never got truly lost though. The interesting landscape is worth the hassle.
Granite cliffs make for scenic hiking and climbing. Trails are not always clearly marked, or maybe it was just me.
We went for the first time yesterday, trails weren't marked so we could never figure out how to get to the points that look like you have high views. What we did hike around was easy. However, we found a ton of deer ticks on our dogs so beware! Just double check yourself and your dogs...no one wants to go for a hike and end up with Lyme disease.
Great hikes and views, good climbing and just a fun nature hike . Been coming here since I was kid. Please keep it clean ???? kinda a hidden spot easy to miss driving ,just a dirt parking area and a small sign. Right before the overpass . Lots of trails and you can reach the Gloucester reservoir from here as well
Small wooded area with walking trails. Also a rock face for any climbers in the area
