Alternative Home Health Care

We brought home a medically complex two month old from Boston Children’s this October. It was incredibly overwhelming organizing her feeding/med schedule, supplies, appointments, etc, especially given how exhausted we were (are) and the fact that we also have a two and four year old. AHHC was set up by our case manager at Children’s, and we are so grateful!

Our nurse, Nancy, is not only a wonderful clinician, but she gave us great advice for organizing supplies and paperwork. She makes me sit and eat/drink while we talk and asks me how I’m sleeping, how I’m taking care of myself. She calls providers for us when there are concerns. She takes time to answer questions and troubleshoot. I can’t recommend her enough.

Bringing home a medically complex baby is stressful and there are so many providers it’s hard to know who to contact when issues arise. Having Nancy coming every week to help direct and guide has been amazing.

Christina is truly the best! She cared for me after I had my twin boys and then cared for the boys when they came home from the nicu. Christina is amazing at what she does, you can tell she enjoys what she does and she really cares about her patients. I’m sad we no longer have visits but she’s for sure a life long friend ! Thank you Christina for everything!

Working at Alternaltive home health care has been a wonderful experience. I truly enjoy the family-like atmosphere that’s full of teaching, learning and support. I do appreciate the flexibility I receive while working here. The owner of Alternaltive is very supportive to all her staff and always ready to answer any and all questions and concern. Christina visited me at my home twice during my first week home after giving birth. She was truly a shining light during a really difficult time for me. I was obviously sleep deprived and learning how to be a mom, but also dealing with debilitating pain. Christina was extremely kind, thorough, encouraging and caring. She continued to follow up and provide advice even after her home visits. I’m so glad the hospital set this up for me and highly recommend Christina and alternative home health care.

Alternative Home Health Care is a wonderful home care company. Katy treated my family member and she was always so pleasant, knowledgeable and truly cared for my family member as if she was her own. I would highly recommend them and especially Katy to anyone that needs the services- You are in good hands!
