My mom, afflicted with Alzheimer's dementia, has received the utmost care at Den-Mar, where she has called "home" for nearly 7 years. As a frequent visitor, I've seen the care & kindness shared by this Kindred family. Everyone--- from the professional Nursing & Rehab. teams, Administrative & Social Services staff, Activities & Volunteer Services, to all the dedicated Resident Aides, right down to the kitchen & custodial staff---has shown concern & compassion in caring for my mother. In one of my more recent visits, when asked how she was feeling, my mom simply said, "Happy & safe." Her expression of contentment speaks volumes to me.
I'm an attorney with a concentration in elder law. Over the years, many of my clients have been residents of Den Mar. They have received loving, competent care from this great facility! While the building is small, all the staff treat those in their care as if they were their family members. While no one goes through life hoping to spend their latter years in a skilled nursing center, this facility is as close to home as the staff can make it. My father spent his last years at Den Mar, and I was very pleased with the care and attention he received.
