“We have tried all of the local grocery stores and we always end up back at Shaw's. It is clean and mostly well stocked and the staff are always polite and helpful. Market Basket is a bit less expensive but it is so crowded and the aisles so narrow that for a few dollars more I'd rather shop at Shaw's. A few things they could improve: better stock if same items, open additional registers when lines start to build, and have the second counter ready when they open - we were shopping for over an hour after open and sell no seafood.”

“My boyfriend and I have been here three times since moving to Salem, and it has been great every time. Sometimes the lines are long, but it is because the ice cream is worth it! I have gotten the root beer float, mint ice cream, and vanilla ice cream. They have all been very rich and creamy tasting, and it's nice that it's around the corner from where I live. It's a seasonal ice cream place, but I recommend coming here at least once in your summer stay. They also have other options other than ice cream, which is extremely nice for those days when you don't want rich ice cream.”

“What can one say about a New England institution by now. They are everwhere and the coffee always taste the same. Great fast service at most locations. If you like coffee strong and distinctive maybe not for you, but if you want a place yoy can always depend on than Dunks is for you. The donuts and pastries are rather ordinary but fresh.
