(March 8, 2019, 11:00 am)The Silver Unicorn Bookstore has friendly folks, great service and a good selection of books for all ages. While it's a small store and can't carry all books what they do have in stock generally provides an excellent choice.
I've been able to order a book through them and have it within one or two days. They also have a program for frequent purchasers (currently $25/year) that gives you a 10% discount on books.
They also have a lot of meet-the-author events that are fun to attend. And they do a lot to support local authors. I love having an independent store in the area, and try to purchase through them instead of using an online retailer.
(December 25, 2018, 1:37 pm)I love independent book stores. The Silver Unicorn has a good selection of adult and children's books. If they don't have what you are looking for, they will gladly order it for you. Unicorn also frequently sponsors children and adult authors. Given the store's size, author's visits allow more interaction.
(December 12, 2018, 5:44 pm)nice neighborhood bookstore. They have story times for kids. owner and staff are so kind. they do not carry everything that you might see in bigger bookstores but there have new releases and bestsellers etc. I love tmhow it smells of books.
(October 10, 2018, 2:33 pm)My wife and I love indie bookstores and the Silver Unicorn is a particularly happening, well-stocked shop with great staff and a lovely atmosphere. The sci-fi and fantasy sections rock, and to my delight I even found a quirky business book in their biz section which I had until then been resigned to order online for lack of faith that any brick and mortar store would have it. Quite a Unicorn indeed!
Awesome place, lovely people, we'll be back.
