  Their honey wheat bagels and veggie cream cheese are so good! The Iced coffee is usually pretty good too. Everyone that I've encountered that works there is nice.

  Starbucks, Dunkin and now Cafe Nero have made life miserable for the independent coffeehouse
  
  In order to succeed, the Cafe would have to serve decent coffee and better than decent food. The others cannot execute good food at all
  
  Charles River has decent coffee and plenty of food options. Thats the problem. They serve everything from sandwiches to muffins to soups for lunch and breakfast
  
  How about paring down the menu by 90% and focus on the homemade stuff instead of the blizzard of bland stuff
  
  Still, the place is likable and the coffee is very good
