(December 7, 2017, 5:46 am)I bought a Burkart Elite 5/95 from a local dealer about 5 months ago. I was concerned because the flute body had been 'on the shelf' for about 5 years and it had some issues I wouldn't expect on a flute sold as new. When I added a brand new 5/95 headjoint from another dealer, it's sound and play were simply amazing so I took a chance and bought the flute body. I then made an appointment, drove to MA and took it to Burkart-Phelan for a thorough checkup. They were wonderful to work with. They fixed the problems and brought my flute to new condition.
