Very peaceful near the hop brook. Not many people. Easy trails, some of which are open to horses and mountain bikes.
My first time to visit here. Walked for about 2 hours. Absolutely wonderful! Excellent trails, expansive wetlands, nice mix of upland habitats, and interesting remnants from former military installation. Good parking. Immediate access to Assabet River and paved rail trail. Will be coming back many times for further exploration.
Beautiful! I got several amazing photos. Best to visit here at dusk or during the golden hour. Simply stunning!! I will be going here a lot more. Check this place out!
We always love coming here for a quiet walk in nature. Even on its busiest days, you'll find yourself alone on a winding path through the trees.
Not a whole lot of publicly viewable wildlife as far as I can tell, but a very lovely trail area. Mostly flat, so great for kids and low-impact outdoor activity. Fantastic views around a little lake that you can walk the entire circumference of, great backwoods areas you can sneak into (don't tell the rangers I mentioned that..!) as well as an easily accessible metal dock, with benches, for fishing. Fantastic family spot and great for talking daily walks when the weather is nice.
