I now live on the west coast. I accidentally across the photos of my decades-old parrish during an unrelated internet search. The pictures conjured up many memories, particularly a reminder that my TRUE belief in the workings of God began at Saint Mary's with what I must claim to be a personal miracle.
After leaving altar boy practice one cold, cloudy afternoon in the winter of 1962 or '63, while standing on the walkway near the descending steps that led to the lower chapel on the east side of the church, I suddenly was told from above 'Kenneth run, run!" Simultaneously I felt an indescribable chill envelop my neck. Alerted to danger I obeyed the voice. I ran madly across the deeply snow covered lawn towards the rectory. Tripping on my book bag I stopped, turned about, and looked at the church. Then a sickening crunch and crashing sound gave way to a massive ice slide from the roof of the church. Thick Ice sheets landed exactly where I had stood prior to the command to "run."
My explanations of that phenomenon have been met by everything from mild intetest to guarded skepticism. However, the disbelief of others never phased me. I know the Lord saved me that day.
Undoubtedly, Saint Mary's Parrish continues to aid the Lord in saving souls. God's speed to her parishioners during this celebration of our Lord Jesus' birth.

Beautiful Church inside and out. Open 12 hours a day got prayer.
