“We have lived in Wayland since 2001 to 2014! Had our son there from birth to 13 years old. This picture was taken in front of his elementary school Happy Hollow School. There, he spent his early years and had a lot of fun. This particular picture was taken in one of the afternoon when I was waiting to pick him up from the school. It was where I was standing all the time while waiting for him, suddenly the light turned from a cloudy gray color into this bright beam and the entire area was in the warmth of the foliage color. I literally ran back home (no iPhone 7+ yet then) and get my Nikon digital SLR, took a few of them. The whole thing lasted less than 15 minutes.”

My wife required a little extra care as she struggled with memory loss, but Traditions of Wayland made it possible for both of us to be here together even with our varying care levels. The community welcomed me with a warm, inviting, cozy feeling that I needed in order to make this move. I really feel at home here. I have the independence to make my own schedule while having the options to attend various activities and lectures. I really have made some great friends here like Jim, and together we enjoy our weekly poker tournaments and competitive Jeopardy games that happen in the Great Room. I appreciate all the help the staff has given me and my wife especially. They always go above and beyond for everyone here, and the food is terrific! Paige, the receptionist, is first-class and is willing to help any resident with concern. Libby, Jason, Jenn and the rest of the management team here has really made Traditions a great place.”
