Great attraction for the kids, we love feeding the ducks, outdoor areas are well maintained and the owls are a hoot!
Love this place, visited several times with my 2 children who enjoy this easy hike. We met there with 3 friends and their children a group of 12! It's just lovely and the view of Boston was the best of any day I've visited previously. The kids ranged in age from 5 to 14- they all enjoyed themselves! Bring snacks for a treat at the top!
Simple little place. A small zoo and small interior museum with information about local wildlife. Beautiful easy hike right behind it up Blue Hill. When I was a kid you could feed the animals, but these days they are on a strict diet. :) Parking lot gets very busy during ski season.
This is an easy trail that still offers a city view and a look at the skyline. The best time to go is the fall, but this short hike would also be really great during the winter. Ot is kid friendly and dog friendly as well. If the trail is too rough for you, you can pick up the access road part way through. The museum is nothing special but worth a pass through if taking the trail.
It was great to support this small Museum. Its' focus is on local wildlife in Massachusetts. They also have a small area where they house animals that couldn't be released to the wild for whatever reason. Great place for kids to learn a little bit about the local animals and Wildlife.
