“The Boston Police shooting range is on the island so it is closed to the public. The beaches are nice at low tide.”

“Great look into one of the great, but somewhat forgotten, founding father and founding mother. Leave plenty of time to take the tour (you MUST go to the Visitors Center first before seeing the houses), but was worth every bit of time spent there. Kid had a great time earning his Junior Ranger too. Highlight of the tour for me was the stone library of John Quincy Adams.”

“I love this trail! It’s 2/3 of a mile of wonderful marshes views, gorgeous trees with apples or berries and soft breeze. Especially in sunny day, in the fall, Billing Creek Salt Marsh Trail looks most delightful. “It was October again ... a glorious October, all red and gold, with mellow mornings when the valleys were filled with delicate mists as if the spirit of autumn had poured them in for the sun to drain — amethyst, pearl, silver, rose, and smoke-blue. The dews were so heavy that the fields glistened like cloth of silver and there were such heaps of rustling leaves in the hollows of many-stemmed woods to run crisply through.” L.M. Montgomery”

“Astonishing a place so sea-sidey could be so close to the metropolis that is Boston. Thoroughly charming.”
