“This is my husband, Thomas Flaherty's, review: Lisa Shooman gave me several weeks of thorough, concerned, caring therapy for my right middle finger following ruptured tendon surgery due to a softball injury. She is extremely knowledgeable/well schooled in finger type splint devices. She fashioned a 6" long wire & Velcro splint for me to wear while sleeping at night to work on straightening my finger She also formed a small cloth/Velcro 'cap' for the tip of my finger to work on trying to get the fingertip to bend. Hand therapy in her office consisted of dipping my finger in hot paraffin wax (to cause it to bend into palm easier & for less pain) and massaging 'ultra sound' gel into my finger with a 'heating device' to get the finger to be more 'pliable.' Hand therapy putty & small squeezable balls were some of the other items she used. I would highly recommend her OT services, - Tom Flaherty”
