Mr Baker at the I240 & I35 DPS was extremely helpful. My 81 yo father is still talking about what a pleasure Mr. Baker was to deal with.
We walked up, got right in and were taken care of in a timely manner. The gentleman at the door took excellent care of us. He was pleasant and kind to everyone.
I cannot say enough good things. I had blocked an entire day to take care of my father’s DL. Instead it took 2 hours.
Thank you to everyone at the DPS. Dealing with the public is difficult.
As most know, online appointments are booked across the state so we had to walk in today for a learner’s permit written exam. We arrived at 4:45 am (they open at 7) and we were 18th in line behind others who got there as early as 2 am. Bring chairs and blankets!
They take the first 20 in line to wait inside when they open and give them a paper number. Everyone else has to sign in with a phone number, leave, and hope they get called. We got seen at 11:30...so my suggestion is to get there early enough to get inside otherwise I’m not sure you’ll be seen.
I will say, this DPS location has a very organized system that moves quickly. It isn’t their fault the state agency is in this crisis, and I was really impressed with their efforts under the circumstances. Shout out to Lister, who was funny, kind and so helpful!
Waited an hour after my appointment time to be seen, due to a software issue, but all went smoothly once fixed and we were communicated with along the way. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Thank you!
You are not going there to hang out and enjoy yourself. You have business to take care of and they are there to help with that. Everyone I have worked with there are super nice and work to get what you need done asap.
