Great little park! Very interesting bit of history. Dog friendly. Flat hike, lots of places to stop to sit and enjoy the views. Nature trails off of main canal trail are a little muddy, but not bad. Lots of great places for photos, even in winter. Rest rooms in visitor center, easy to visit with older kids. Lots of water.

Beautiful area for walking, very scenic with informative signs. A lot of dog walkers, dogs need to be leashed. Offer interesting walks and tours.

Very nice setup here at the visitor center! Great information about the history of the area and about the flora and fauna found nearby. You can go upstairs where they have a small museum with artifacts from the area. This is a great place to find information about the area, especially the Blackstone River Heritage park. They also do events year round out on by the parks department. I recommend coming here to learn about the area and to get all the info you need for the local hiking and biking paths

The park is beautiful and well-maintained. There is a good 1.25 mile path along the restored Blackstone River Canal, many picnic tables, and large meadows, one of which is used for some special history re-enactments and similar things sponsored by the Park. There is also a trail to the river, and north of River Bend there are trails along the river. We enjoy it often.
