“Great little park! Very interesting bit of history. Dog friendly. Flat hike, lots of places to stop to sit and enjoy the views. Nature trails off of main canal trail are a little muddy, but not bad. Lots of great places for photos, even in winter. Rest rooms in visitor center, easy to visit with older kids. Lots of water.”

West Hill Dam

“This has always been a great place to take the kids swimming. Now that the Town closed West Hill road, the beach entrance is closed. The main entrance is about a mile walk from the beach area now. It takes about 10-15 minutes to walk, and the beach is now totally empty. If you feel like taking the family it's a very nice beach by the lake, but be prepared to walk.”

“Nice place to take the kids on a hot day. Clean sand, restrooms really close by and there's picnic tables as well as chairs to put in the sand provided by the beach. The water is usually a perfect temperature. There's also a grassy area to have a picnic and trees for some shade if needed and they also have a nice swing set. The ice cream truck usually drops by during the day as well.”
