“Red Roof Inn's pet policy (which essentially is: yes, bring your dog) has won me over for life. The rooms have a fridge and microwave, and the whole place is very very clean and pet-friendly: treats at check-in, no carpeting in lobby or rooms, able to drive up to the door to your room and park right there, green space sheltered between the two buildings (away from busy road). It's also located relatively near to Best Friends Pet Care in Ashland (grooming, boarding, daycare), 30 minutes or so from Tufts Animal Hospital, and 1 hour or so from MSPCA Angels Animal Hospital in Boston.”

“We wanted a place to relax with our loved ones for a whole weekend, not just one evening, and Friendly Crossways was perfect for that. It was amazing to wake up the morning of our wedding already surrounded by our friends, making us breakfast! The food was delicious, the house and grounds are beautiful, and the Friendly Crossways team is warm and caring. Some advice if you have a summer wedding (ours was early July): some of the upstairs sleeping space can get very hot, and be careful about the bonfire -- the biting bugs are NOT playing around over there.”

“The staff were all very friendly and accommodating, especially at the café. One of the staff members in particular was quick to remember you and your order which was a nice feeling. I highly recommend the pot pie which was better than most dedicated restaurants I've had a pot pie at. The crust was perfectly flakey and it was very feeling. If you're also looking for a drink, try the French 77 which is their take on a French 75. Not quite the same but close enough.”
