(September 30, 2019, 7:32 pm)They are working really hard on fighting weather erosion here at this family friendly beach. Limited direct access to the water, but a couple of great jungle gyms, nice bathrooms, grills for cooking, and all just down the way from the ever-crowded silver beach. Just please, refrain from littering of any kind!!!
(August 15, 2019, 2:23 pm)A nice park. There is some curb side free parking that may be open depending on what day and time you visit. Fun slides and such. There are water breakers and swim-able beach, but I wouldn't suggest swimming here. It's a bit rocky, gets deep fast and there is no life guard.
(August 8, 2019, 4:18 pm)In St. Joe, Lions park/beach is where the locals hangout. Silver beach is extremely crowded on the weekends to the point of no parking being available. Lions park has good shelters that can be reserved, some parking (including free and paid). But when the lake is high like it is now, it isn't really a swimming beach. Only a small portion of a beach was available. There are no life guards on duty, but there is a good kids play ground and it is a good place to watch the ???? sunset.
(July 30, 2019, 11:53 pm)What a great little park! Not as crowded as popular Silver Beach, and offering great shade from magnificent trees, we spent a truly enjoyable day here. There's restrooms, picnic tables, and a children's park- but it really isn't ideal for littles to swim, as the approach to the water is from a platform. It was too cold and wavy today anyway- so no loss. The sunset was magnificent!
