“I was recently diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Cancer and introduced to the Marie Yeager Cancer Center by a friend who had worked at Lakeland Medical Center. When I walked in, I met Shelley Wilkinson, who took hold of my case like a momma bear and treated as if I were her cub! The only thing required of me from the time I met Shelley to the end of my treatment, was to show when and where she told me. She followed my care and provided me with things I didn't even know I needed. I still can't believe how wonderfully I was treated. She and everyone I came into contact with at Lakeland Health treated me with the utmost care and concern. When faced with this kind of diagnosis, it is wonderful to know there is a place you can go for treatment, and know with certainty that they are not going to drop the ball. Shelley will forever be like family to me!”

“The good: I've had pretty horrible spring/summer allergies for the last 10 years but never went to a doctor. I just took over the counter meds and they control my symptoms. I finally came in for testing and found to be allergic to pretty much every kind of grass and some other trees and weeds. Dr. Judge and his staff have always been very friendly and work in a pretty efficient manner. I've since been getting shots weekly to build up an immunity which is great. The bad: Dr. Judge really pushes the medication to control symptoms. I've almost always been able to control symptoms quite well through spring and summer by taking an over the counter pill once a day, I'll take a second if it's really bad. At my last checkup with him (late fall) he told me I should still be doing a nasal spray and taking a bill every day until there's snow on the ground. I've NEVER taken medication when I wasn't having symptoms. I'm a firm believer in using only what you need so I respectfully disagree with his recommendation.”

“After injuring my back and suffering with it for a month I decided it was time to go see Dr. Mavis. But not being a patient of his I thought I would have a long wait but I was able to get in the same day that I called. My initial visit was about 30 minutes total from the time I walked in the door and had my x-rays and treatment. I have been following up with him as needed, and my back is getting a lot better. Dr. Mavis and his staff are very professional and efficient. If you have a back issue I highly recommend paying him a visit. His office is located on Niles Avenue in St Joseph Michigan.”
