We had a nice winter hike through rolling hills and wild woods. We were visited by a flock of foraging dark-eyed juncos, and followed by a few bluebirds for a while. Very quiet and peaceful. The Conservatory was a real treat, the plants are amazing. Next spring when the tree walk is complete we will be back with the grandkids.
We had an Amazing time at the Hidden Gardens in Tipton today. Make sure you bring your walking shoes if you plan to venture off to one of the many paths they have week marked. Also bring a lunch and something to drink; not alcoholic as there are many locations you can stop and have a laserful meal.
We are definitely look into the annual membership fee as we think it could be something enjoyed year-round.
The MSU Hidden Lake Gardens are a wonderful resource & have multiple options for viewing, hiking, driving... However today with snow still on the hilly paved rds, the driving paths were very limited. We hiked & enjoyed a visit to the conservatory to enjoy the warmth with a variety of plants, trees, flowers & even a hummingbird that overwintered.
This was my first visit and I’m hooked, I’m going to become a member because I need access to this place as much as possible. I am in love with this place and it’s winter time, so I’m most certainly looking forward to spring, summer and fall here. I can tell by the trees that’s planted that every season is a magical experience. I felt nothing but good energy here. The conservatory had beautiful kept plants, you can tell the workers here love the environment, it shows in the care of everything here. This vibe was so incredible. I’ll be back again and again
I love Hidden Lake Gardens. I've been going there since I was a kid, about 10 years old. Today being my birthday, I wanted to go to see things before the colors came, & flowers put away. No matter what season it is, it's beautiful. They continue to add to the beauty with new plants, new areas to walk & places to sit to take it all in. Since it was raining today, we saw from the car, until we walked through the conservatory. Since they had to redo the majority of it, as a heater went down during a bad snow storm, has now been cultivated bringing new life to the plants inside. Here are a few photos.
