(March 29, 2023, 12:18 pm)Nice needs more maintenance by park staff but there a place with 2 benches on the shore of a small river that the water babbles and is very relaxing , if you have hiking shoes you should wear them cause the ground gets wet and the amount of trees shades the trails and they do not dry fast can be slippery and no animals allowed in nature center . Very quiet to . Nice
(March 6, 2023, 6:54 pm)Beautiful park, just need to get rid of those twirly spinning tulip shaped seat things at the playground by the beach, I've seen little kids stuck in them several times spinning but can't get out, and my kid actually got a bloody lip when she got stuck in there somehow it was quite scary. Other than that this park has so much to offer, especially on weekdays when no ones there.

(September 30, 2019, 7:58 pm)Really nice park with maintained trails for runners, hikers, bikes, and skiing. Johnny Rev and I stopped at the nature center and walked the trails behind the center. The signs along the way were nice to see where we were and they showed the different routes you could take. We didn't check the weather and ended up getting rained on but it was still a great adventure. We also saw quite a few wild turkeys out.
The park has several picnic and play areas for those with kids. If you do not have a Metropark pass the cost is $10 to enter the park.

Biologist for a Day - At Stony Creek Metropark, Nature Center
This program is entirely outdoors. Face coverings and social distancing are required. Ages 12 and up. Time: 1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Cost: $5 per person Location: Stony Creek Metropark, Nature Center Pre-registration is required by March 12 before 5pm. Pre-register by calling (586) 781-9113.

The trails are pretty easy but please make sure to wear comfortable walking/hiking shoes and bring a water bottle. We will meet at the nature center parking lot. There are benches in the grass at the parking lot.
