Having had major depressive disorder, unipolar, and PTSD, there are countless combinations of SSRI medications I have tried, but Dr. Nucum would go down the list, figuring out what worked for me and what did not. He understands that not everyone is the same and not every psychiatric disorder is the same; what may work for you may not work for the next person. It is very difficult to find a good psychiatrist, but this is the doctor I would love to be able to keep as my lifetime psychiatrist; I would hate it if I had to start over with someone new. Dr. Nucum is prompt; if you have an appointment at 2:00, he will come to the waiting room to escort you to his office at 2:00. They do not over-book appointments, which is common at a lot of medical practices.”

“Had my wisdom teeth pulled out here. I put it off for years because I don't like the pain associated with anything dental related but wow did I have a pleasant experience at Summit. First off, the ladies work at the front desk are extremely helpful with scheduling and dealing with insurance. I had my initial exam and was scheduled for extraction. The night before my procedure I barely slept, I was going to be put asleep for it which made me feel a little better. The surgeon came in and started the IV, all pain free, very smooth and gentle and BAM I was out. Woke up with my teeth out with absolutely no pain or swelling. This is now day 4 after my surgery and I am still shocked I haven't had any discomfort or pain at all. I am recommending Summit to everyone I know who needs any type of oral work done.”

“Dr Hoard performed an shoulder arthroscopy with a full thickness tear rotator cuff, torn biceps tendon and bone spurs with a touch of arthritis just to make things out of the ordinary. Previously selected a different doctor, but went to him for a 2nd opinion and boy am I glad I did. He found an issue in his office that hadn't even been discussed by the first surgeon after multiple visits. Dr. Hoard explained in everyday terms what had to be done surgically and genuinely listened when I had questions. His staff was professional and courteous at all times. Its only been a couple of days since the surgery but the pain level is quite manageable and a lot less than I anticipated. Knowledgeable, affable, board certified and easy to talk with, you are definitely in good hands with Dr. Hoard.”
