This is a must when we come back home to visit! Although we enjoy camping here right now they have major construction on the South side which will wake you up early at 7:31 am. Beware if you want to sleep in. Otherwise no problem if you don't mind the bulldozers!! We feel it's a little pricey! Pool closed and with just water it was $56.00 a night.
Harbortown was a great experience with lots of activities for all ages! Extremely clean and sites were very comfortable. The staff was stellar, extremely friendly, organized, knowledgeable and went above and beyond making our stay a 5star! I spoke with Jennifer who clearly stood behind Harbortown’s standard of excellence! Nothing but great things to say about our stay!!
Even though it’s bad for their business, reading the most preposterous, yet hilarious one star review comments for this campground has become one of our family’s favorite pastimes. It provided us with hours of entertainment while by their fabulous pool (which was very clean!). We stayed from Wednesday night until Sunday. Every one of the staff members we interacted with was incredibly lovely. The bathrooms were clean. My daughter had the best time riding her bike all around the campground and on the trail here.
It’s not a state park. It’s an RV resort. Just like when you book a site at a KOA, you expect the sites to be smaller and people to be packed in. Depending what site you get, you might have a crammed in spot amongst other campers or you might get a nice view of the golf course. That’s rv camping.
There are train tracks directly next to the campground. We occasionally heard one and it is relatively loud, but never heard it over the hum of our air conditioning unit. They certainly did not run all night long and we stayed for 4 nights.
We unexpectedly picked the weekend of Christmas in July. They offered lots of different activities for the kids, which was an added bonus for my 10 year old. We did have to pay a nominal fee for the craft (and putt putt course) which is to be expected because they are a business, after all.
We will definitely be back again!
