I've been working out with Mike for the last several months and it has been such a great experience after having been away from the gym for over 5 months. I was impressed with how thoughtful Mike was with preparing my first workout and subsequent workouts, ensuring my transition back was safe and enjoyable. Mike is challenging yet not intimidating and really understands and honors my limitations. I highly recommend Mike as a personal trainer.
Mike is a consummate professional. Above and beyond anything I've ever experienced with one on one, personal training. Not only is Mike laser focused with impeccable attention to detail, he explains exactly the whats and whys of your training. This ain't no one size fits all! I've learned so much about how to breathe, slow down and focus on individual movements that are re-training my brain to understand the specific exercise and how to do them correctly. I've had a couple of group class/individual training injuries from years ago that Mike has been able to address safely. I actually feel stronger and more steady because I'm doing the movements with confidence and seeing results. I gained about 12 lbs since March of this year and can already see changes: instead of 2 muffin tops, I now have 1!
I met Michael several years ago at age eighty eight. I had been exercise off and on, not regularly, and with no particular program.He showed no “attitude at all about my age, was a tough but fun trainer. He pushed me hard,and for better and for worse,didn’t lower the bar for me,even when I complained, as a result, I regained my posture, improved my flexibility, significantly increased my strength, and got me into a regular regimen.
I had doubts about on line training,, but Michael’s program is easy to follow, I’ve found it particularly helpful to be able to pause and repeat an exercise until I’ve mastered it, This method is obviously convenient,. And I find on line as well as in person supervision. particularly helpful and motivational.
What more can I say? TRY IT,,,,,YOU’LL LIKE IT!
Mike is a great trainer who really customizes his approach for each client - there’s no cookie cutter training here. You get what you as an individual need to be successful. The studio is also incredibly clean and follows (and honestly exceeds) all safety/cleaning protocols during this pandemic.
There is a lot to say when you thought you were doing 50 push ups and really you can only do 5 the CORRECT way! I thought I was pretty advanced too. I am 38 and was looking for a hard workout and to be pushed but I needed the focus on me doing the work out right. My body thanks you Brain Meets Brawn! I have been safely working out muscles that I didn't know that I had....I recommend this for everyone who doesn't want health problems when you get older because you worked out incorrectly for many years. I thought I was doing it right. Now I am for sure!
