Bald Mountain Trail Head

This was a beautiful place 2 go for a walk, jog & even ride a bike! It was so fascinating 2 look @ all the leaves on & off the trees ~ so picturesque” !!!!

Beautiful hiking trail. Did 5 miles. I went into the Bald Mountain rec area where the beach is and had a hard time finding the trail head. Walked out the back of the park, down the trail at the back of the last roundabout and down that road a ways until I found a trail head. Easy enough to remember now, but if you're hiking, I'd find one of the trails head roads and drive to it instead of going thru the rec area like I did. Lots of scenery, some good hills, not too buggy. And ended with a nice swim at the lake. Makes for a great day

Such a beautiful trail and forest. I hiked the blue trail which is 2.1 miles (3.3 km) recently in midMarch. The trail was mostly ice and snow, but it was passable with good boots. It was muddy in some spots. There wasnt anyone else on the trail. Parking lot is small and muddy, during this time of year.

Did both the southern loop and the northern loop from this trailhead. Southern is good elevation changes and pacing. Northern is a little more relaxed and offers great views of the surrounding lakes. Good for a quick fix of nature! Solid quick day hike opportunity. Will be doing again in the future.
