“We hired Elller to install a back up sump pump. We have had work done by them previously and we thought they did a good job at a reasonable price. For the pump installation they provided a free estimate, were reasonably priced, and gave us a 10% senior discount. They came when scheduled, and completed the work in a couple hours. There was one glitch, while working they spilled a can of pipe cement, and when they were done the glue smell was so bad we did not want to go in the basement to review the work. We asked them to come back the next day after the basement had aired out for inspection and payment. They said their office required them to insist on payment before leaving. I spoke to the people in their office and explained the situation but they still insisted on being paid even though we couldn’t inspect the work. They offered an additional $100 off the bill to cover the cost of removing the carpet stain. We agreed, paid the bill and scheduled a worker to return the next day for inspection. He did return the next day, and during inspection a missing pipe hanger was discovered and he fixed it. We are disappointed in their insistence on being paid without us being able to inspect, but we are happy with the work, and we would hire Eller again.”
